
Entry Procedure
Preparatory School
Pre-Prep 1 Entry (Reception)
Entry to the Prep school is primarily at age 4+ into Pre-Prep 1. Up to 40 places are available for boys in two classes of maximum 20. Places are offered following a meeting with parents.
Prep 1 Entry (Y3)
In Prep 1 the class size increases to a maximum of 24 allowing for a further intake of pupils at age 7+.Pupils will be assessed and have an interview with the Head Master.
Senior School
Senior School (Y7)
Entry is at age 11 via an assessment day in January and is made up of boys from our Preparatory School together with new entrants from a broad range of local independent and maintained schools. Those pupils going on to scholarship are invited to return in February.
There are 3 forms in each year and classes are limited to a maximum of 24 pupils in the first two years (Y7 & Y8), and to 25 in the third year (Y9).
Sixth Form
At Sixth Form level, which is co-educational, we welcome a further 35- 40 girls and boys from a variety of schools near and far. Most of our own boys from GCSE carry through to the Sixth Form. Each year group has a maximum of 100 pupils.
Entry into the Sixth Form is based on predicted GCSE grades and an interview. GCSE Grade B or above is required in each of the AS subjects chosen to study. A minimum of 5 GCSE grades is required in total (minimum 4 grade B and one C).
Scholarship students are invited to a morning of assessment in their chosen subjects in January.
Registration
In order to register your child as a prospective pupil you need to complete a registration form and pay a fee of £25. Once a place has been offered you will be asked to pay a further £150 to accept the place.
