P2 History Trip to York
13 June 2007

On Wednesday 13th June 2007 P2 went to York to experience hands-on history at Jorvik and DIG.
At Jorvik the boys experienced life in York in the 10th Century. The sights, the sounds and even the smells!!
At DIG (the archaeological research centre) the boys got to be archaeologists and experience the joy of digging up items from York’s past.
The trip re-inforces many elements of the P2 history syllabus and helps the boys develop enquiry skills.
“My favourite bit was when we had to dig and find things hidden underground,” said Charlie Hinchsliff (P2K)
“It was really good, especially when we found the skeleton,” Harry Deo (P2K)
