Judo tournament medals for the Prep school

On Sunday 17th June the South Yorkshire Judo Championships took place at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.
Members of the Birkdale Prep School Judo Club took part in this tournament with several boys gaining success. Medals were won in the 25 - 36 Kg weight category, by Thomas Farrell who came second and Thomas Kitchen who came third, (both in Prep1), whilst in the 36 - 45 Kg weight category, Zach Horscraft (Prep 3) achieved a stunning first position with Youseff Farag (Prep1 ) & Silas Hettema (Prep 3) both earning joint third place.
Mrs Housecraft, who helps run the club stated, "I was very proud of the boys, they all showed great team spirit. They worked hard and thoroughly deserved their medals. Well done boys."
