Birkdale Prep Beyond the Classroom
24 May 2007

Y4’s from Birkdale Prep School

A group of Y4’s from Birkdale Prep School experienced a weekend of outdoor challenges at the Hollowford Centre in Castleton recently.

Their first residential experience, they learned the value of teamwork and encouragement. They threw themselves into the activities, having a go at climbing, archery, low ropes and assault courses, orienteering, and of course the high ropes.

Deputy Head Jonathon Leighton said; “Activities beyond the classroom are a vital part of school life. They reinforce work done within the school, forge great relationships and everyone has lots of fun.”
