Birkdale School celebrated team success winning a number of awards at a golf competition hosted by Denstone College, Sunday 20 May.
Two teams of Y7’s and Y8’s were entered and a parent also played alongside each of them.
Birkdale School team A, George Edwards, James Gregg and Alex Henry, won the overall Team competition. Talented golfer James, aged 13, also won the pupils Individual award for the lowest score on the day from a field of over 60 participants. James and his father also won the Father and Son pair’s competition.
Alex Henry, who was placed third for his individual score, also won an award for hitting the longest drive of the day with 210 yards!
