Independent Schools Golf Association – Match play Tournament

Birkdale entered this new national tournament, which is split up into regions.
We played `North Cestrian` School from Altrincham at Hallamshire Golf Course, Sheffield, who have kindly agreed to host our home matches.
Unfortunately our three golfers – Ted Brady, Mark Jameson and James Baird lost against some very talented golfers for North Cestrian.
However our lads thoroughly enjoyed the day and the opportunity to play competitively against another school.
Mr Turner did win the teachers match on Stableford points 40 to 39, so at least there was one Birkdale victory on the day.
