Birkdale Success at Fylde Rugby Sevens

Birkdale School won the trophy in the National Schools Rugby 7’s Bowl competition played at Fylde RUFC recently. Over 420 young rugby players, plus teachers, parents and other spectators descended on Fylde's Lytham St Anne’s ground for a great spectacle and showcase of young rugby talent.
Birkdale beat Rishworth School 24 – 21, St David’s College in the quarter final 31 – 12, Dame Allan’s in the semi-final 28-19 and Ashville College, Harrogate were beaten 14-12 in the final.
Top try scorer of the season is James Twomey with 30
