Debating Success

Upper Sixth pupil Gabor Fellner came second in a United Kingdom debating competition held recently in London, speaking on why Bakelite Plastics were the greatest scientific discovery of the last 100 years.
It was a competition organised by the Historical Association. Gabor came through three rounds winning the Birkdale round organised by the school Sixth Form History Society, followed by the Sheffield round hosted by The Sheffield History society which then qualified him for the United Kingdom final.
