Dave Kilner from Sheffield’s Radio Hallam receives a cheque from Birkdale School

Dave Kilner from Radio Hallam met with pupils recently to receive a cheque for £13,990.10 in support of the “Help a Hallam Child to Read” scheme.
A great variety of events were organised by pupils and staff throughout the previous year to raise this substantial amount. Pupils from both the Prep and Senior School enjoyed the challenge of assisting in this important project.
It was apparent that the charity has raised a great deal of money to assist children throughout the city to learn to read and much progress is being made. Well done to Help a Hallam Child for all the hard work put in to the local area!
