Fun at The Oakes
Many boys enjoyed a fantastic weekend at the Oakes Holiday Camp in Norton, where they took part in a variety of activities as well as meetings and sessions to learn more about God and the Bible.
The weather seemed to cover all seasons during the weekend, with sunny spells replaced by pouring rain, and even some snow showers on Saturday afternoon!
All of the boys took part in a number of activities, including ropes, zipwire and a ‘mini mudder’ assault course, a place all the boys enjoyed being! There were also remote control cars and a craft zone where you could design your own T-Shirt to take home with you.
In meeting time, the theme of the weekend was the story of Gideon in the Bible, and the boys worked together with the girls from Ashdell School and the Oakes team to explore what Christianity and God means to them.
Many thanks to all the team at the Oakes for such a fantastic weekend and to the members of staff that came to support the boys over the weekend.
