PP1 to the Rescue!

Pre-Prep 1 had an exciting and informative visit before half term from a team of Firefighters in their Fire Engine. This was to support their work on ‘People who help us’.

The boys have learnt, throughout the term, about the various people in our community who look after us. However the visit from the firefighter was certainly a highlight. The session began with the Firefighters visiting the classroom. This was an opportunity for the boys to see the various essential parts of the Firefighter’s uniform.

Later the boys went to see the Fire Engine situated in the Clarke House playground. They learnt about the different equipment and all had the thrilling opportunity to shoot water from the fire hose.

The boys really enjoyed the session and the staff were delighted by how well the boys listened and how sensibly they engaged in the activities.
