World Book Day

The Prep School enjoyed a spectacular World Book Day on Thursday. It was great fun to see every one dressed as different book characters. Walking around school you could meet a collection of Harry Potters, Where's Wally and even Horrid Henrys!

Pre-Prep enjoyed a variety of book related activities but their favourite part of the day was when boys from Prep 3 came to read to them in small groups. The Pre-Prep boys listened intently to the older boys who demonstrated their talents when story telling. Pre-Prep teachers were delighted to see how confident the Prep boys read, skillfully using the intonation in their voice to thrill and entertain our youngest boys. This session was so successful we hope to repeat it again.

All the boys in Prep School enjoyed a trip to the cinema this week to see the movie 'Peter Pan'. This trip was a real highlight of the term for the boys and it has inspired their English studies. We all thank Miss Lockley for her organization of this project, who appropriately dressed as Tinkerbell for the book day celebrations!
