Living History Day at Tatton Park
Prep 2 boys visited Tatton Park recently where an Anglo Saxon and Viking Living History Day was taking place. They boys spent a fabulous day experiencing the life of an Anglo-Saxon and the invasion of England.
In the 10th century AD, the Vikings were actively raiding Anglo-Saxon peoples who had colonised England. The boys studied in a hands-on way these two groups of people: looking at their home life, religion, work, trade, food, language and geography.
The boys also learned about shields and weapons, longboats, preparing the bread, crafts and the Great Hall. Everyone had a most wonderful and informative day out!
