P4 En France
Prep 4 boys headed to ‘The Château at L’Auberge' for their final Prep School residential!
On arrival, they took part in 'Mini Olympics' – a series of fun games in the evening sunshine. On day two, after a continental breakfast, the boys set of for the Sea‐Life Centre at Boulogne. The centre was filled with all sorts of fascinating exhibits from the oceans around the world. The afternoon was spent on the beach; equipped with sandcastle building equipment; followed by an ice‐cream before heading back to the château and an evening of scavenger hunting. Day three included a visit to the Agincourt Museum and the boys went to a Belgian Chocolate Workshop. Day four was full of activities, a visit to the market in Arques; a small town just a few miles from the centre where the boys had lots of opportunities for learning the language and practising their skills. This was followed by a trip to the Commonwealth War Grave at Longuenesse. On the final day the boys visited La Coupole Planetarium and were treated to an exploration of the Solar System and the history of the space‐race – all in glorious 3‐D. From then on it was onwards to Folkstone and the journey home.
