PP2 went down to Ecclesall woods today!
PP2 had a wonderful time when they visited Ecclesall Woods this week. The boys became woodland artists for the morning, inspired by the beautiful environment around them. Upon arrival, the boys enjoyed an energetic game to keep them warm before sorting the natural art media into different colours.
This was then used to create some fantastic artwork and patterns. Next, the boys went deeper in the woods, crossing a stream and looking at the texture of the natural world. They identified trees by their texture and size by playing a game with a blindfold on. Later, the boys enjoyed mud painting and made tree boggarts out of clay. Watch out if you go to the woods, as they were left on the trees and hidden in the undergrowth! Everyone got very muddy but had a wonderful time! Mrs Oliver kindly hosed the welly boots down before sending the young artists home!
