Geography Fieldtrip to the Holderness Coast

The Geography Department successfully completed a full day at the East Coast to secure detailed knowledge in the field for those taking GCSE Geography this summer.
The day started at Flamborough Head to see the coastal processes and resulting features operating on chalk geology. They then travelled south to a coastline consisting of boulder clay where different processes were observed. Visits to Ulrome, Hornsea and Mappleton then provided a range of different coastal management strategies to protect our coastline. The warm and sunny weather also made this a very successful day!
