Many congratulations to Travis Caddy (S5/Y11), Emma Dunn and Henry Siddall (both L6), who have all been accepted into the National Youth Theatre.
Founded in 1956, the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain (NYT) is a world-leading youth arts organisation. They discover, develop and launch diverse talented young people aged 14 to 25 from across the UK, providing high quality practical experience in performance and technical theatre.
The students all had to perform a monologue as well as take part in a group workshop in order to be selected. A huge number of students travel far and wide to attend these auditions and only a small and select few are successful.
They will now take part in a summer school and a performance in London later this year. This then gives them the privilege of being a member of the National Youth Theatre and eligible to audition for the national theatre shows.
