All of S1/Y7 visited Warwick Castle and Bosworth Battlefield recently to follow up on their studies of the Middle Ages which come to an end with the famous Wars of the Roses.
At Warwick Castle the pupils explored the home of Richard Neville known as the Kingmaker because he was so powerful he could determine who the King of England was going to be.
In the afternoon the boys heard about the battle of Bosworth Field where Henry Tudor defeated Richard III to become the King of England. It was only recently that the remains of Richard III were reinterred in Leicester Cathedral bringing History right up to date.
