S2 Trip to York

All of S2/Y8 enjoyed a day in York following the end of their internal exam week last week.
They visited the York Dungeon which provided a 75-minute journey into more than 2000 years of York's horrible history. The Dungeon brings together an amazing cast of theatrical actors, special effects, stages and scenes in a truly unique and exciting walkthrough experience that you see, hear, touch, smell and feel. It was hilarious fun and a bit scary.
They also visited the famous Jorvik Viking Centre to experience life in Viking-Age York and see the houses, workshops and backyards of the Viking-Age city of Jorvik as it stood nearly 1,000 years ago.
Finally a trip on the York boat down the river Ouse gave them a view of many of the fine old buildings and also the problems with flooding experienced both past and present.
