Politics Forum Debate European Referendum

The Politics Forum recently debated the European Referendum under the discussion heading ‘What if Britain Left the EU?’

Year 13 pupil Charles Gray opened the debate with a forthright assessment of the issues at hand when considering the pros and cons related to the European Union. Thereafter all students and staff participated in a robust analysis of the issues at hand.

Julie Savage from the History department commented: “Charles acquitted himself admirably fielding comments and questions with great knowledge and sensitivity given the sometimes heated nature of European referendum discussions. Regardless of your personal view on the European question it is right that both sides of the argument are put forth with ultimately the British people deciding the destiny of our European relationship. I am so very proud of the intellectual rigour and energy Charles and our other politics students displayed at this forum meeting”.
