Blue Remembered Hills

On Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 December, 2016, we invite you to travel back in time with our students, to the long, hot summer holiday of 1943. Heeley Hall will be transformed into the Yorkshire countryside during a time when the innocence of childhood is juxtaposed by the backdrop of war. Arrive to the sound of 1940’s music and be transported to another time and place.
This will be a FREE event in support of this years’ chosen school charity, The Children’s Hospital.
Our students have been working tirelessly to produce Dennis Potter’s wonderfully challenging dark comedy, Blue Remembered Hills. This will be Mr. Low’s first school production since joining Birkdale in September as Director of Drama and the performance concept for the piece may well be a first for the Birkdale audience; we cannot wait to see what he has in store. With the support of our talented Music department and students, the entertainment will begin from the moment you enter the lobby. Our hope is that we can fill the auditorium with as many of you as possible to witness a production suitable for the whole family that is sure to make you laugh and cry.
(Suitable for an audience of Year 6 pupils and above)
