Joint Sixth Form Choir Visits Cologne

The joint Sixth Form Choir, together with Sheffield Girls' has just returned from a most successful mini-tour to Cologne in Germany. The first of two performances on Saturday last was outdoors at the Maritime Market. Here the choir performed a varied selection of Christmas Carols to a most appreciative market audience.
Thereafter the choir was hugely honoured to be invited to sing Mass at the beautiful St. Pantaleon Church. This was an especially meaningful performance - not least because of the most fantastic acoustic the church provides.
Pupils and staff got to see many of the main tourist highlights of the centre of Cologne. Visits included Der Dom Cathedral; world famous Chocolate Museum; walks along the Rhine; and of course a number of visits to the simply beautiful and numerous Christmas markets across the city.
This was a simply wonderful trip and all thanks go to Directors of Music Clare Wallace, Sheffield Girls', and our very own Mr. Jordan!
