St John Ambulance Achievement

Shahid Qadar (L6) has recently been nominated national youth representative for St John Ambulance, the nation's leading first aid charity. Shahid originally joined St John Ambulance through his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh voluntary work and loved it so much he carried on. He is currently officer at corporal level within his unit. Shahid also runs the popular First Aid Club in school and teaches first aid as part of enrichment and Duke of Edinburgh.

Shahid was voted into this position, which is quite an accolade. The role involves liaising with other units in the North of England and attending various meetings nationally with the aim of improving the image of St John Ambulance, particularly with younger age groups. In addition, he has attended two first aid courses and two leadership courses. Our congratulations go to Shahid for this wonderful achievement.
