FOBs Ball Raises £6,000 for Children's Hospital Charity

On Saturday 17 June the Friends of Birkdale school (FoBs) hosted their annual Ball at Baldwins Omega. Over 150 guests were welcomed to the ball by the school's acclaimed jazz band Octopus. This year there was a very special welcome as Theo the Bear, the Children's Hospital Charity mascot, was on hand to also shake hands with all guests as they arrived for this prestigious event.
Over the years, FoBs has supported all sorts of important school and charitable projects. This year was no exception with the event, together with a charity auction raising the simply incredible amount of £6,000 for the Sheffield Children's Hospital - the school's charity this year.
Heidi Wragg, Chair of FoBs said: "I am so very grateful to the whole FOBs committee for working so very hard to put on such a fantastic event. All of our guests had a simply wonderful evening and a special thanks must go to all those who bid for our extensive list of auction prizes. Raising £6,000 for the school's charity this year - the Sheffield Children's Hospital - is a simply fantastic achievement".
