Birkdale Senior School Golf competition took place at Abbeydale Golf Club this week. 19 boys aged between 14 and 18 years took part.
Congratulations to the golfers who won the following:-
The Tapitt Hen handicap ‘stableford’ trophy was won by William Hawksworth from S3 with Josh Conlan also from S3,runner up and James Baird (L6) came third.
The scratch trophy, The Turner Cup, was won by Ted Brady from L6. He achieved the lowest gross score making him champion golfer in Birkdale School.
James Gregg from S4 won the ‘nearest the pin’ contest.
Last week the Lower School Golf competition took place at Wortley involving 11 to 13 year olds.
First place and winner of the Park Cup was won by Thomas Ward from S1, runner up was Tom Hobson (S2) and Jack Harrison(S1) took third place.
The longest drive was achieved by Edward Towning (S1).
Well done to all four young golfers.
