PP1 were blessed with lovely spring weather during their visit to ‘White Post Farm’ this week.
This visit is the inspiration for work during this term all about living things. The boys understanding of the needs of animals will be enhanced by this first hand experience.
During the day the boys enjoyed lots of opportunities to handle many animals. These included baby chicks, very friendly guinea pigs and even iguanas.
They were thrilled to see the goats on ‘goat mountain’ and the more unusual sight of lamas.
The boys were given food to feed to the animals and listened to talks given by the staff.
The day was a great success and thanks are sent to the parents who gave their time to help. The boys were very well behaved and great ambassadors for Birkdale, well done!
