Matthew Olivo in S1 took part in the U12 NE Regional Swimming Championships recently. He had to complete the 800 metres freestyle in 8 minutes 54 seconds to qualify for the Nationals which take place at Ponds Forge in July.Only 35 12 year old boys in the UK qualified under that time.
Matthew achieved 8 minutes 52 seconds and now goes forward to compete in the British National age group Championships. Well done Matthew.
