The S1s enjoyed fabulous weather and a three day action packed programme on the recent annual trip to London. They started with an interesting visit to the Royal Mews where the Queens carriages and horses are kept, then eating at Pizza hut before going to see Billy Elliot at the Victoria Palace Theatre.
Day two was equally action packed, with a combat stage workshop and an excellent question/answer session with one of the actors from the previous evening’s production. The boys then took to the water on a river cruise before reliving the age of adventure on a full replica of the Golden Hind. The day was rounded off with uninterrupted views from the London Eye, followed by many ice creams and an evening meal at Planet Holleywood.
The final day involved a tour of Madame Tussaud’s and Wembley Stadium. The boy’s especially enjoyed sitting in Wayne Rooney’s seat in the changing room and being Fabio Capello in a press conference.
All in all it was an excellent trip and special thanks go to the staff – Mrs Stolz, Mr Potter, Mr O’Toole, Mrs White and Mr T Clark for making it all enjoyable.
