On Thursday 2 May, Birkdale's Young Enterprise company 'Peninsula' attended the Young Enterprise South Yorkshire Presentation Finals, held at Sheffield Hallam University.
Amongst some tough competition, they won the trophy for Best Presentation with a typically slick, confident delivery, and also scooped the trophy for Most Innovative Product, for their high quality pencil cases, using recycled crisp packets.
The keynote speaker, a former YE achiever and now MD of his own national stationery company, was keenly interested in Peninsula's product, and indeed made a purchase!
