Our Forms - Pre-Prep 1
Our aim is to make PP1 a happy and welcoming introduction to school life. The boys’ learning is based around topics and we include lots of hands-on and creative activities to keep the boys interested and involved. The two PP1 classes have direct access to a small playground, which is used for a variety of teaching and learning activities as well as informal playtimes.
The boys spend most mornings with their own class teacher, and in the afternoons the 2 classes mix together in a variety of groups. There is one teacher and one full-time teaching assistant in each class, and we work together closely as a team to plan and deliver the curriculum. The low child to adult ratios allow us to observe the boys’ learning and help each of them to develop at their own pace. We put a lot of emphasis on personal, social and emotional development which helps boys to become happy and confident members of the school family and allows them to learn how to learn.
