Welcome to Birkdale Senior School
The main points of entry to the Senior School are at 11 and 16. At 11, boys from Birkdale Prep School are joined by successful entrance test candidates from maintained primary and other independent schools. At 16, boys and girls join Birkdale from a variety of schools, both in Sheffield and elsewhere.
The Senior School is a friendly place where young people settle in quickly and enjoy their days at school. Concentrations upon values, high academic expectations, breadth of activity and pastoral care for the individual are all rooted in our Christian ethos. They are the hall marks of the Senior School, as they are of Birkdale as a whole.
