When we go to Nepal, it is always apparent that there are ways we can help the Peace Garden School – amongst our other projects – to continue to thrive. This year we have used some of the charitable monies raised during the year to purchase and fit a water cleansing system together with a storage tank. This will make a significant difference to the health of both teachers and pupils alike. Hopefully absence rates will decline because there will be fewer days lost for tummy bugs. Also, the temporary classrooms built soon after the Earthquakes were in need of some tender loving care. The flooring and some of the walls required attention which they have now received. We have also been able to send one of the teachers on a teacher training course and so Arjun, the Head Master, is very happy!
