It was show time at the Senior School with three performances of this year’s production, Les Misérables. The show was a complete sell-out on all three nights and audiences were not left disappointed. The production was an incredible success with outstanding performances on stage, in the orchestra and behind the scenes.
The quality of the solo singing performances was near professional, only to be rivalled by the chorus pieces, especially at the end of each act. The quality of the music from the orchestra was also hugely impressive with the musicians playing continuously for over two hours. Underpinning all of this was the technical aspect of the production with an impressive display of lighting, sound, set change and costume.
It is not often that a production requires so much commitment from so many staff and students and it has been an absolute delight to see the result of so much hard work. A massive congratulations to all involved.
U6 student Max’s commitment and dedication to the school’s Performing Arts has been recognised in the creation of a legacy prize for the Most Promising Junior Technician. This will be awarded each year in recognition of the excellent technical support students offer. Well done Max on your many years of service!
