Harris led this year’s first Economics Society meeting during Tuesday lunchtime, giving a thorough overview of the arguments for and against the National Minimum Wage. Around 25 members of the Upper Sixth came along to engage in discussion and extend their understanding of this topic.

The Society exists as a vehicle for students to present and discuss topics beyond the syllabus, bringing economic issues to life.

The Economics Society is open to students from all subjects but will be of particular interest to those thinking of applying to degree courses in Economics, Politics, PPE, Business, Management and Finance.
