Siblings Annabelle (Lower Sixth) and Tom (S5) achieved considerable success competing in the regional swimming championships recently. They were both entered in the open age group. Amongst the swimmers were Olympians and world championship swimmers.

They both achieved places in the final and did personal bests in every race which was their objective. However, they were both pleasantly surprised to achieve a medal! Annabelle took silver in 400 IM and Tom bronze in 200m breaststroke.

Tom achieved further success at the Yorkshire regional championships last weekend where he broke the Yorkshire junior 200m breaststroke record with a time of 2:20:60.

Annabelle is part of our Aspiring Athlete Programme. The programme offers support alongside current elite performance pathways and also supports aspiring athletes with less access to external programmes. Tom is currently studying GCSE PE.
