On Friday and Saturday last week our 1st XI travelled to Liverpool for an end of season tour.

Everyone enjoyed an insightful tour of Liverpool’s Anfield stadium on Friday. The changing rooms, standing at the top of the new stand and in front of the Kop were real highlights. They then travelled across the city to play Liverpool College. They had a very good side with several strong and skilful players so our boys were disappointed with the 6-2 final score.

After enjoying an evening meal in the hotel they then had a competitive ten-pin bowling session.

On the return journey to Sheffield they stopped at Old Trafford to enjoy another great stadium tour. The tour guide told many interesting, inspirational stories about famous old players and managers at Manchester United. There was another memorable moment for our team when they walked down the tunnel towards the pitch with crowd noise blasting out of the speakers, and then sat in the managers dug-out.

Thanks to Mr Rodgers and Mr Herold for making this such a memorable experience.
